OK, coming from right here in Alabama. The democratic party has nothing to do with the strength of the Doug Jones campaign. In Alabama you never have to declare a party of preference. We hold open primaries, and you pick the party in a primary when you step up to get your ballot. Hard core republicans claim their tribe. But most democrats are actually independent or no party.
The negative feedback and talk of well Alabama is red, so they will pick the pedophile is just a wrong assumption. Despite the total republican takeover of the state house in Alabama, things have remained pretty much the same. The democrats in the past were Dixiecrats and just changed the D to R. Their character remained the same. Shitty people running the state to the ground.
The last democrat to be elected to the senate was Richard Shelby, and then he changed to a republican. Doug Jones is a real progressive, not a moderate. Though the GOP 4 Doug Jones group frame him as moderate. Doug is truly the first real democratic candidate to come along in a very long time.
That is why folks are fired up and bringing strong support every day for Doug Jones. We have drivers to bring voters to the polls. We have folks going out to black neighborhoods and registering new voters everyday. We are registering college students to vote in droves. These are all potential votes for Doug Jones. Yes, they must turn out to vote. But all the volunteers, and supporters are running into a large group of folks that intend to vote for Doug Jones.
Doug Jones signs are everywhere. He does outreach everyday. The campaign is active in the entire state with emphasis on the high population areas. Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, Mobile, along with college campuses and the rural black belt of Alabama. This would include Selma, Greene County. In short, we got this, we are gonna do this, Alabama is going to elect Doug Jones for the next junior senator of Alabama. I really get tired of all the naysayers around this place. Give the good people of Alabama a little credit, because all the name calling and disregard for real people is honestly starting to get pretty annoying. Thank you for any support you have given Doug Jones. He is a great candidate, and a good man who we deserve to have serving as our next US Senator. This election will not just affect Alabama. This special senate election could help turn the tide blue for the 2018 elections. So use your positive energy to make change we can all get behind. Take it from a person living in the hotbed of ruby red Alabama. This is the real deal, change is gonna happen. The drought will end, and the rains will come, hard and long.
